FAQ
What is an Artist Proof?
Magic: The Gathering Artist Proofs are white backed cards sent to artists by Wizards of the Coast. There are usually 50 regular and 30 foil APs for each printing of a card (though this can vary depending on the set and type of card). While these cards can be used in casual games, they are not tournament legal. Due to their limited number, APs have become collectors items, made all the more unique with a sketch or painting on the back.
Do you take requests for custom art on APs?I'm trialling a small number of requests with the current shop opening, and if all goes well, I will offer more in the future as time permits!
I ran out of time to set up some trial requests this round, so requests will happen next time I offer a batch of APs! 😅
Do you sell blank APs?
Sketching and painting on APs is an opportunity for me to explore different materials and imagery, and it makes each AP unique, so I am only offering sketched & painted APs for now.
When do you restock?
I don't have a set schedule for restocking the shop, but generally if I have APs left over from an in-person event or convention, I will put them up in my shop soon after. You can also follow me on social media to see when I am working on new APs, and sign up to my MTG mailing list to be notified of shop updates.
